Blade-Tech - DOH Dropped and Offset Holster with Sting Ray Belt Loop

 

The DOH has made a huge impact within USPSA Limited competition displacing many race holsters. Its become standard in USPSA production divisions. Sadly not legal for IDPA although women competitors are an exception.

A testament of the DOH performance came from USPSA GM, Shannon Smith who explained at the Florida Open a number of years ago, "I wanted a holster that was secure no matter how awkward the starting position. I performed back to back draw time tests with the DOH and my 012 race rig. Surprisingly I detected no real reduction in draw times and if there was it couldnt have been more than a tenth of a second. It's well worth knowing I can move fast without the fear of a potential DQ from a dropped gun whne starting from a moving or prone start position"
The dropped and offset has also been adopted by law enforcement and special agencies.
The DOH offers an extremely quick draw while maintaining a high degree of run retention. The "offset" feature of this holster allows for a greater degree of outward cant, which positions the grip of your pistol away from the body in a vertical position for more positive indexing. This popular holster also features a "drop", which lowers the placement of the pistol for an easier reach, allowing the arm to remain more extended.
