IDPA Competition
| Competing in IDPA not not be expensive!
You'll need a stout 1.5 inch belt, a mag pouch to hold two magazines and an belt holster. To compete I would suggest that you invest in 4 magazines to make life easier, but three will do.
You'll need ear protection (plugs or muffs) and some eaye protection. Lenses that are optically correct glasses will allow your eyes to work at their best, so be aware of inexpensive safety glasses. No doubt you'll own the "ears" and "eyes" already.
One last thing you'll need for IDPA competition is a concealment garment that will cover fully cover your holster. There are plenty of tactical vests available, but a simple shirt or light jacket will do!
A small range bag helps so that you can carry your ammo spare mags, snacks and a drink. The bag will need to be large enough to hold your gun in a pistol slip. A sports bag will do in the short term but you'll probably want to invest in a range bag sooner or later so that you can keep your equipment well organized. |
